it is bit more expensive then average but it is still affordable.
each of our meals cost from rm15-rm30 (of course we never go into those high end restaurants).
each plate of this yummy stuff cost about rm6-rm14 which i think is the normal price we pay at genki sushi here, no?

why do mcdonalds when we have it in kl. the additional stuff they have on their menu is seriously good. the breakfast and mc pork. the thought of it makes me hungry

we pay only rm50-80 each for this nice room

with personal bathroom, im not complaning eventhough it is so small. don't even think of making out here. hehe...
ok besides the point that handiplast cost rm7 for a box of ten. and AA battery cost rm12 for 4. the rest are bearable. all in all i only spend rm4k including airfare and tax. both steph and i actually have rm1k left because we over budget our expenses. well, again of course we shop wisely. i mean what is the point of getting something more expensive then what we can get it back here right? also we only take train and walk except for our last day we took a cab because we couldnt carry our extra big bag on top of what we brought.
conclusion: japan is a shopping haven. both for the rich and not so rich. even if you dont have the luxury to shop, it is still worth a trip. somehow their old and new buildings look equally beautiful. i mean take a look at their boutiques. they are really impressive.

drama of the day
if you notice that none of us was in the photo at the tokyo tower. well that is because i went there alone. yes all by myself. because the smart me decided to go back to work and rest while steph continue to do her window shopping at ginza. i do not have a 3G phone to use in japan, so we made plans to meet at the train station at a certain time to go to tokyo tower. which was plain stupid because the train station has like 5 lines. and so the brilliant me make a mess when i waited for her at the wrong place.
and so this is the drama. we waited for each other for 1 hour. then i decided to ask ppl where i am and i realised i was waiting at the wrong place. so i walked to her line which she told me later she did the same. so i guessed we miss each other just by seconds. yah very drama, like a korean series with background music. so she is not there. i went high and low to find a phone that can make international call but thanks to technology. the number that i thought i remember is wrong by one digit. so i managed to call someone in malaysia but not her.
now, the drama continues, the music still playing on the background. are we fated to meet. so i try to figure my way to tokyo tower. every step hoping to see her. walking that street all alone, getting my own ticket, taking the lift up that tower. circling the place twice and not see her. i finally concluded either she has left or she has not come at all.
so i let my guard down. try to enjoy the night scene. i'm not sure is it the night scene or being right on top of such a beautiful city. not sure is it all the couples around or the fact that i am trying to reach someone and i couldn't. this question about fate came, why certain ppl are given a second chance and some are not. the mixture of it just trigger a little bit of emotions. like i once said under what not to do after break up, it is not good to travel alone. but i guess only for a night will not do me too much harm :)
statement of the day
steph adapting very well to the local culture. touching up in the middle of the street

Where did u manage to get a room for RM50-80 per person per night in Tokyo??
that you have to ask steph... she super duper good in this :)
how do i go abouts doing that? intend to go early next year and finding a RM50-RM80 room would be a real boost. Been scouring the net but found nothing even close to that.
this is the hostel link .
thanks heaps
